General Motors has formally announced its intention to become a carbon-neutral company by 2040. GM’s new commitment will turn out to be most visible to American shoppers in the vehicles the company will convey to market in future years. A new vision for Jaguar Land Rover known as “Reimagine” has been introduced. It requires Jaguar to rework into a totally electrified luxury brand by 2025, for Land Rover to add several electrified fashions by 2026, and for JLR to attain carbon neutrality by 2039. Mercedes-Benz and its AMG high-performance sub-brand have dipped their toes into electrified performance cars pool before, but in a transfer just announced the automaker is going all-in on the concept.
